We are planning something big for you right here in Parkersburg, WV. We are holding our first ever Amputee Fun Fest on July 22, 2023 from 11 am – 6 pm at The Amputee Center. 2311 Ohio Ave. Parkersburg, WV 26101
We are even CLOSING THE ROAD to party in the street! Thanks to the Memorial Bridge temporary closure, this is a once in a lifetime chance to close that road. You will find a stage and food trucks on the road right in front of The Amputee Center. We will also have a variety of vendors in our parking lot. Inside you can buy Amputee Center Merchandise and check out all that The Amputee Center has to offer.
There will be live music on the stage: Chip and Amanda Goble, Soph Stevens and Levi and Hanna Westfall. We also will have Dave Whelan from Cincinnati as our guest speaker. Dave is a Paratriathlete and he is working to be in the 2028 Paralympics.
We will have many volunteers on hand to help you. Parking is available behind The Amputee Center and across the street at The American Legion. We will also have golf carts to take you from your parked car to the festival area. You can bring a chair for the band, but we will also have some available. If it’s a hot day, you can come inside to cool down.
We encourage you to register as an attendee so we can communicate any changes and be prepared to help you with parking. To register, go to www.TheAmputeeCenter.com/amputee-fun-fest If you have any questions, just call The Amputee Center at 304-699-4909.
This is event is focused on the limb loss community but is open to everyone.
It will be FUN for you and a FUNdraiser for The Amputee Center. If you know anyone who would like to be a sponsor, vendor or make a donation, they can go to https://www.theamputeecenter.com/amputee-fun-fest to help out.
