Belpre Announces Full Lineup of Holiday Events for 2025

Community Invited to Celebrate the Season With Markets, Music, Movies, and More

Belpre is preparing for one of its most festive holiday seasons yet, with a variety of new and returning events designed to bring families and visitors together throughout the month of December. From the debut of the Belpre Christmas Market to a full day of activities during the city’s first-ever Christmas Crawl, this year’s schedule builds upon the community’s most beloved traditions.

Belpre Holiday Lights at Civitan Park

For decades, the Holiday Lights in Civitan Park have been a treasured tradition in Belpre. Known for their one-of-a-kind handmade light displays, these glowing creations have become a signature highlight of the season and one of the community’s most recognizable holiday attractions.

The displays have delighted families across the region for many years and remain at the heart of Belpre’s seasonal celebrations. With the expanded lineup of events taking place throughout the month, this year’s holiday season will highlight the iconic light displays while introducing new ways for the community to come together.

Belpre Christmas Crawl, Lighted Christmas Parade, and Polar Express Experience Set for December 13

Belpre will host its first-ever Belpre Christmas Crawl on Saturday, December 13, bringing a full day of festive activities to the community. Events will take place at locations throughout the city, beginning in the morning and continuing late into the evening. The Christmas Crawl introduces a variety of new experiences for families, shoppers, and visitors, offering something special for every age group.

One of the most anticipated traditions of the season—the Lighted Christmas Parade—will serve as a centerpiece of the day’s festivities. The parade brings together local organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups as they showcase floats and displays glowing with colorful lights, creative themes, and plenty of hometown spirit. Families line the streets each year to watch the illuminated procession make its way through town, creating a magical, storybook atmosphere as dusk settles in.
This year, the parade will begin at 6:00 PM at Belpre High School, with Santa making a special appearance and greeting families at the Gazebo in the Park immediately afterward.

Adding to the excitement is the debut of the Polar Express Interactive Movie Experience, taking place at Howes Grove Park. This marks the first year for the event, which invites families to enjoy a fully immersive showing of the holiday classic. Guests can expect themed moments, hot cocoa, and surprises that bring the beloved story to life. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for outdoor seating. In the case of inclement weather, an indoor backup location nearby will be available to ensure the event can continue.
