SUMMARY:Special Concert Recital: Echoes of War
DESCRIPTION:This recital will feature music from World War I\, World War II
 \, and the Civil War. Join us as we take a dive into the music of Chopin\,
  Liszt\, Butterworth\, and Ravel and explore the circumstances around thes
 e military compositions. Popular tunes will also be performed that speak o
 f loved ones yearning to be reunited. We hope you join us for this tribute
  to composers and music during times of war.\n\nPerformers:\nMerewyn Weink
 auf is an Assistant Professor of Music at Marietta College where she teach
 es private piano students and music history. Her twenty-two year career at
  Marietta College includes performing for young artists\, guest artists\, 
 and faculty recitals. Mrs. Weinkauf earned a BM in Piano Performance from 
 East Texas Baptist University and an MM in Collaborative Piano from Baylor
  University.\n\nBrenden Smith is a native of Parkersburg and earned his BM
  from Marietta College in Vocal Performance and an MA in Music Education f
 rom Liberty University. Brenden is an active performer with the Parkersbur
 g Choral Society and is working his teaching certificate.\n\nThis concert 
 is a free offering\, but reservations are required. Space is limited (30 s
