DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Spring 2023 episode of The Southeastern Session
 s featuring three of the region’s premier Singer/Songwriters – Abby Do
 dds\, Craig Heath\, and your host John Walsh.\nAn evening replete with sav
 ory original music for your listening pleasure\; our songwriters will perf
 orm their songs “in the round.” They have a tasty blend of Americana\,
  Folk\, Acoustic Rock\, &amp\; Country cooked up for us to enjoy.\n\nSo\, 
 come and hear the stories and musings of Abby\, Craig and John. All three\
 , in addition to being seasoned songwriters\, are highly talented musician
 s &amp\; vocalists. You really don’t want to miss this show!\n\nABBY DOD
 DS\nAbby Dodds (vocals/guitar) is a local musician and practicing music th
 erapist in Marietta\, Ohio. She grew up playing small gigs in her hometown
 \, Cadiz\, Ohio\, and enjoys sharing live music in her spare time. Abby ha
 s recently started to allow her songwriting to become an intentional outle
 t for personal expression and autobiographical meditation.\n\nCRAIG HEATH\
 nCraig S. Heath is a four-time Ohio Music Awards winner based in the Hocki
 ng Hills region of southeastern Ohio. Craig has made multiple appearances 
 at the renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville\, TN and has also been a featur
 ed performer on the PBS national broadcast of Songs at the Center. His mus
 ic has been heard on television shows like Broad &amp\; High as well as do
 cumentaries and films. His songs have also been featured on NPR’s “Cro
 ssing Boundaries”. He has toured/performed in 30 states\, Ireland\, and 
 England as well as the African continent. He has opened for the likes of L
 ivingston Taylor\, Joe Crookston\, and Jill Andrews and is a three-time wi
 nner of the Columbus Songwriters Association showcase. His recording caree
 r began in 2006 with “Fate of Foreigners”\, a full-length CD that sign
 aled his arrival on the songwriting scene. Other projects include “Big G
 reen Mountain” and “Celtic Ballads” as well as collaborative project
 s like “The Great Divide” and “Simple Song”.\n\nJOHN A. WALSH\n\nA
  well-known Mid-Ohio Valley musician\, John Walsh’s songwriting has been
  described as “intensely personal\,” “he sang what I wanted to say
 …” and\, “the lyrics read like a painting…” Over the years\, Wal
 sh has written scores of songs and has performed both as a soloist and in 
 a variety of bands all over the United States. John has had the opportunit
 y to play on the same stage with notables such as Jason Isbell\, Lucy Kapl
 ansky\, Tim O'Brien\, Dennis DeYoung\, Amanda Shires\, Air Supply\, Larry 
 Groce\, Todd Burge and Larkin Poe. He has released nine albums of original
  music. Both an artist and facilitator of the arts in the MOV\, Walsh serv
 ed as a board member of the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame\; formerly se
 rved on the Hippodrome/Colony Historic Theatre Association board\; and\, w
 as instrumental in the development and opening of The Adelphia Music Hall.
  In 2013\, John released The Fields of Gettysburg. John’s all original s
 ong cycle brought real historical characters to life\, enabling the listen
 er to get to know people of the day on a personal level. The record\, co-p
 roduced by Parkersburg singer/songwriter\, Todd Burge\, brought together a
 n impressive ensemble of musicians\, including Mountain Stage’s Larry Gr
 oce and Michael Lipton\, two-time Grammy winner Tim O’Brien\, Jessica Ba
 ldwin\, Colton Pack and Justin Arthur. Met with wide critical acclaim\, Th
 e Fields of Gettysburg was featured on NPR’s Mountain Stage and at The G
 ettysburg National Park’s Museum Gift Store. The album is currently avai
 lable at Tamarack’s “The Best of West Virginia.”
