DESCRIPTION:Sadie Johnson is a multi-talented musician from Indianapolis. H
 er musical journey began when she was just six years old and discovered he
 r passion for music\, particularly the guitar. At the age of 13\, she was 
 inspired by Eric Clapton’s soulful guitar playing and began exploring a 
 wide range of genres\, from folk to funk and beyond. This led Sadie and he
 r older sister Samantha to form the Sad Sam Blues Jam\, a musical project 
 that toured locally and nationally from 2011 to 2015 in local venues and f
 estival stages.\n\nAfter graduating high school early\, Sadie embarked on 
 an international tour with Ruf Records Blues Caravan: Girls With Guitars i
 n 2015. The experience broadened her musical horizons and solidified her c
 ommitment to pursuing a career in music. She furthered her education by en
 rolling at Marietta College in Marietta\, OH where she was recruited to as
 sist in developing a music therapy program and became an instrumental forc
 e in the process. She graduated in the inaugural music therapy class and s
 uccessfully completed her internship at Riley Hospital for Children in Ind
 ianapolis\, IN. This led to her becoming a board-certified music therapist
  in October 2022\n\nSadie is deeply passionate about using music to help o
 thers and represents Indiana for Blue Star Connection\, a non-profit organ
 ization that provides musical instruments to children and adults facing il
 lness\, disabilities\, or challenges. Her dedication to this cause was exe
 mplified when she headed the Blue Star Connection 2016 Super Duper Guitar 
 Drive\, raising $10\,000 and distributing nearly 100 electric guitars to m
 usic therapists nationwide. Additionally\, Sadie’s love for making a dif
 ference through music is evident in her recent role as the Music Director 
 for the Prism Project\, a performing arts camp catering to children with d
 isabilities.\n\nA testament to her talent and dedication\, Sadie is set to
  release her new EP\, “Natural Distractions\,” in late summer 2023. Sh
 e has graced the stage at various events\, including Blues from the Top- F
 uture of the Blues Stage 2012 and the International Blues Challenge in 201
 3 and 2014\, where she showcased her musical prowess. Additionally\, she h
 as shared the stage as a guest artist with Blues Traveler at the Chicago H
 ouse of Blues and Maryville\, TN. Furthermore\, she has opened for promine
 nt artists such as Clint Black\, Blue Oyster Cult\, and Delbert McClinton 
 at the Peoples Bank Theatre. Her performances have left a lasting impressi
 on on audiences.\n\nSince settling in Indianapolis in 2021\, Sadie has mad
 e a name for herself in the local music scene. Whether performing solo or 
 with her full band\, Sadie’s performances are captivating. She combines 
 soulful vocals\, percussive guitar skills\, and an infectious energy that 
 leaves audiences spellbound. Sadie’s musical journey is truly inspiring.

 e for good is evident in everything she does. With her versatile talent an
 d dedication to making a positive impact\, she continues to enchant audien
 ces and inspire aspiring musicians alike.
