 eate an iconic meal from David McCullough’s The Pioneers. In the book\, 
 Manasseh Cutler describes an elegant banquet held at “the president’s 
 house” by invitation of Thomas Jefferson. Taste our interpretation of an
  iconic Jeffersonian meal while learning about Manasseh and his role in th
 e journey toward the Northwest Ordinance from expert local historian\, Bil
 l Reynolds.\n\nThe menu reflects elements of Manasseh’s description of h
 is meal at the White House. Additional inspiration was taken from Jefferso
 n’s iconic culinary style. During his presidency and at home in Monticel
 lo\, Jefferson treated guests to French influenced cuisine\, but featured
