 s we explore the roots of The Suffrage Cook Book and taste our interpretat
 ion of its recipes during this three course Food History dinner! Serving a
 s a tool of public influence\, this book served as more than just a list o
 f recipes from renowned suffragists such as Jane Addams\, Carrie Chapman C
 att\, Governor Hiram Johnston\, and many more. Providing a better understa
 nding of the suffrage movement\, local connections\, and the relevance of 
 this cookbook will be our featured speaker Dr. Linda Lockhart.\n\n\n \n\n 
 \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nDr. Linda Lockhart is an associate profe
 ssor in Marietta College’s Department of Communication\, whose primary r
 esearch focus is mass communication history. A mid-Ohio Valley native\, he
 r research focuses on local and regional communicators of significance. In
  addition to the content analysis of the Marietta newspapers’ coverage o
 f slavery\, shared in Liquid Boundaries\, her projects have included studi
 es of A.W. Campbell\, an editor in Wheeling who was a founding father of W
 est Virginia and Angelique Martin\, a mid-nineteenth century Marietta resi
 dent who wrote for women’s equality. Her most recent research explores t
 he work of a pioneer in women’s radio\, long-time Marietta resident Sall
 y Hille. Lockhart holds degrees in journalism from Ohio University and Mar
 ietta College. After residing in Newport\, Ohio\, for 40 years\, Lockhart
