 iverse nationalities–some from communities not often expected to share a
  stage–Compagnie Hervé Koubi blends contemporary and urban dance\, capo
 eira\, and martial arts with powerful imagery and inspired choreography\, 
 showcasing the incredible unifying power of dance. Founded in 2000\, Koubi
  discovered his Algerian roots a decade later and began collaborating with
  Algerian street dancers. His works soon expanded to include performers fr
 om across the Mediterranean basin\, and today\, Sol Invictus\, features da
 ncers from around the world. Described by The New York Times as “a creat
 ion of poetic beauty”\, this meditative yet athletic work that explores 
 the ties that bind us.\n\nSol Invictus\, derived from the “invincible su
 n” deity\, upholds love as a guarantor of peace\, where communion emerge
 s as humanity’s saving grace\, despite fracture. The score features musi
 c by Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson\, with excerpts by Steve Reich and d
 igital composer Maxime Bodson.
