DESCRIPTION:Gilded Age Gals: First Ladies from 1877-1900\n\nThis program of
 fers an in-depth exploration of the First Ladies who served during the Gil
 ded Age\, a period marked by unprecedented economic growth\, industrializa
 tion\, and social stratification in the United States. From Lucy Hayes to 
 Ida McKinley\, these women occupied a unique space at the intersection of 
 politics\, social reform\, and cultural expectations from 1877 to 1900. Pa
 rticipants will learn how these First Ladies leveraged their positions to 
 influence national discourse on issues such as civil service reform\, vete
 rans’ welfare\, and public health\, all while navigating the evolving ro
 le of women in society. Through critical analysis of their personal letter
 s\, public speeches\, and key initiatives\, this program will illuminate t
 he complexities of their contributions and the broader impact of their lea
 dership during one of the most transformative eras in American history.\n\
 nStephanie Bohnak\, Director of Education &amp\; Curatorial Services As th
 e Director of Education &amp\; Curatorial Services for the National First 
 Ladies Library &amp\; Museum at the First Ladies National Historic Site\, 
 Stephanie Bohnak brings a distinguished background and unwavering dedicati
 on to the institution. With an MA in History and Public History from Bowli
 ng Green State University\, specializing in women’s history and American
  enslavement\, Bohnak is dedicated to illuminating often-overlooked narrat
 ives in American history. Her BA in History from the University of Akron\,
  accompanied by minors in Anthropology and Classics\, provides a comprehen
 sive understanding of historical contexts and concepts. Additionally\, Ste
 phanie Bohnak holds an AS in Culinary Arts from Sullivan University\, refl
 ecting a diverse skill set that enriches educational endeavors with interd
 isciplinary perspectives. In this role\, Stephanie Bohnak leads educationa
 l programming and outreach while assisting in collections management and c
 uration\, ensuring exhibits are both engaging and historically accurate. T
 hrough innovative programming and research\, exhibits\, and outreach\, Ste
 phanie Bohnak honors the legacies of America’s First Ladies while foster
