DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of Dachshund fun!!!\n\nCalling all dashing da
 chshunds and their devoted owners! It’s\ntime to mark your calendars and
  wag those tails for the most exhilarating event of the year – Marietta 
 Main Street’s Dachshund Derby! This pawsitively delightful event is set 
 to take place on\nSaturday\, October 10th\, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. i
 n downtown Marietta.\n\nPrepare to strut your stuff in style as we kick of
 f the festivities at 12:00 p.m. with a parade walk from The Armory parking
  lot to the gazebo at Muskingum Park. We encourage you and your fur\nbabie
 s to go all out with costumes that will make tails wag and jaws drop!\n\nB
 ut wait\, there’s more! Once the parade concludes\, it’s off to the ra
 ces on the Armory Lawn at 1:00 p.m. We’ve got five different race catego
 ries based on age\, so whether you’ve got a seasoned senior or a speedy 
 pup\, there’s a race for everyone. And don’t worry\, if racing isn’t
  your dog’s cup of kibble\, we’ve got plenty of fun contests at statio
 ns located outside various downtown businesses. It’s a chance for your p
 ooch to show off their skills and win some pawsome prizes!\n\nBut it’s n
 ot just about the glory of victory – it’s also about giving back to ou
 r furry friends in need. Entry fee is $7 with proceeds going towards suppo
 rting Marietta Main Street. We also\nencourage donations to The Humane Soc
 iety of the Mid Ohio Valley. Every little bit helps support our four-legge
 d pals who are still searching for their forever homes.\n\nAs if that wasn
 ’t enough excitement for one day\, there will be vendors set up near the
  race area\, including representatives from the Humane Society.\n\nSo grab
  your leashes\, gather your doxies\, and join us for a day of tail-wagging
  fun at Marietta Main Street’s Dachshund Derby! It’s sure to be a bark
 ing good time that you and your furry friends won’t soon forget.
