DESCRIPTION:We are excited to have you join us for CHALK THE BLOCK on Satur
 day\, October 14th! This is the most colorful part of our ArtOberfest cele
 bration!\n\nTo participate in CHALK THE BLOCK\, you need to reserve your s
 pace and set of chalk pastels. Complete the online registration form and p
 ayment of $5 (below) to secure your spot! The first 24 artists to register
  will receive a 48 color set of chalk pastels to use.\n\nYour “canvas”
  will be roughly 6’X6’ on the sidewalk along Market St. between 8th an
 d 9th streets. We provide the chalk\, you provide your other supplies (sto
 ol\, water\, rags\, brushes\, tape measures\, etc).\n\nYou can start your 
 work as early as 1 p.m. on October 14\, but all work should be finished by
  5 p.m. that evening.\n\nArtOberfest attendees will be encouraged to walk 
 the Chalk the Block and vote for the chalk art pieces that speak to them.\
 n\nPeople’s Choice Awards will be offered in adult and teen categories. 
 There will be first and second place in each.\n\nPrize packages will be aw
 arded on October 17.\n\nIf the weather doesn’t cooperate\, we will move 
 Chalk the Block to another date.
