  the books that inspired her to become a writer and illustrator and discus
 s the 13-year process of creating her illustrated magnum opus\, Baby Birds
 : An Artist Looks Into the Nest. Find out how Julie spent most of the summ
 er of 2023\, and meet the comical\, winsome\, keenly intelligent Carolina 
 wrens who ruled her days.\n\nJulie Zickefoose is the Advising Editor of th
 e newly re-launched\, full-size\, Marietta-born BWD Magazine. She's the au
 thor and illustrator of Natural Gardening for Birds\, Letters from Eden\, 
 The Bluebird Effect\, Baby Birds\, and Saving Jemima. She was voted the MO
