More about Nate:
The past two years have been very busy for singer-songwriter-guitarist Nate Jones, who spent most of that time forging DIY tours and recording his first two full-band releases, The Nate Jones Band EP and This Old Town.

Produced by Cleveland-based pop producer Dave Douglas (founding member of Grammy-nominated pop band Relient K), The Nate Jones Band EP was conceived as a radio-ready vehicle to showcase Jones’ triple-threat skillset as a songwriter, guitarist, and virtuoso singer. Built on a risk-taking hybrid foundation of R&B-tinged rock and coffee-house folk, the EP puts Jones’ delicate and compelling vocals front and center, while giving his retro-70s-inspired backing ensemble room to stretch their rock and blues chops. This Old Town, set for release in August 2015, is a dynamic showcase of Jones’ songwriting depth, soaring vocal range, and versatile guitar skills. “[Jones] can pilot the emotional current in a ballad like “What Goes Up,” which swells up from just his voice and acoustic guitar to something anthemic before returning to its simple roots.” – S. Victor Aaron,

Almost immediately following its February 2014 release, the record made a measurable splash with Jones’ geographically diverse fan base. The EP has received considerable acclaim and consistent airplay on college and online radio stations, with multiple top-10 finishes in nationwide fan voting on’s new music contests.

A Cleveland native, Jones made his first foray into the singer-songwriter scene as a college student in New Orleans, where he was quick to earn comparisons to big names (John Mayer, Ray LaMontagne, Elton John) and integrate into a steady rotation of dates at the city’s legendary venues (Tipitina’s, The Howlin’ Wolf, Blue Nile). The experience made a lasting impression on Jones, who spent his first post-grad years refining his soul-influenced sound in clubs and coffee houses across the country.

In addition to its regular headlining and co-bill engagements in the Midwest, the Cleveland-based Nate Jones Band is a regular in New York City (The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, The Living Room) and Chicago (Hard Rock, Uncommon Ground). The act has appeared on Cleveland television and FM radio (Fox 8, NPR, WJCU) and has opened for a number of national acts in diverse genres (Marc Cohn, Tab Benoit, Eric Hutchinson, the Rebirth Brass Band).

-Jaimie Ward, Music News Nashville

“No synthesizers here. No dance music for the sake of dance. Just good solid rock the way it was once played—for the music and for the song.”
