Juliann Historic District

Julia-Ann Square Historic District was built by many prominent West Virginians and was an important center in West Virginia early history. The district is the largest and oldest historic district in West Virginia. Julia-Ann Square is a community of approximately 126 homes surrounded by the city of Parkersburg, and includes some of the finest examples of Victorian architecture in the state. The majority of the district’s structures are in the Second Empire, 19th century eclectic and Queen Anne styles and date from c. 1850 to 1910. The entire Julia-Ann Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
