We are looking for volunteers to help at our pollinator habitat at Luke Chute Conservation Area. Help us with planting, invasive species control, trail maintenance and other aspects of making sure our pollinator habitat is off to a great start of the growing season. It’s a great way to meet other volunteers and learn about what is happening at the conservation area, as well as learning about the plants and pollinators that currently inhabit the area. No experience necessarily – all ages and abilities are welcome! Please wear clothes that can get dirty. Work gloves are a good idea, if you have them. We will provide tools and know-how.
Luke Chute Conservation Area is located about 30 miles from Marietta on SR 266. To get there from Marietta, head north on SR 60 past Beverly. Turn left onto SR 266. After about 5 miles, the road dips down – you can see the pollinator habitat on the right just after Columbus Street. Our parking area is at the top of the hill, on the left.
