Campus Martius Museum presents, Opening the Door West, the award-winning film documentary about the settlement of Marietta and the Northwest Territories. It will be shown in two segments, Thursday October 1 and Thursday October 8 at 7 o’clock in the main hall of the museum. Present at the showing will be Ellen Shelburne, who along with her husband David produced the documentary. They will be joined by Dr. James O’Donnell, History Professor Emeritus, Marietta College, Dr. Ray Swick, Historian Emeritus, Blennerhassett Island Historic State Park and Bill Reynolds, Historian, Campus Martius Museum. This is a perfect time to take a closer look at this outstanding documentary, learn about what transpired behind the scenes and ask questions of the knowledgeable historians present.
