Downtown Marietta

What clues to the past are hidden in the back alleys and brick passageways of downtown Marietta?

Join us on a search for evidence of fires, floods and public improvement projects gone horribly wrong. We may even encounter a few faded ads for forgotten businesses and products that no longer exist. This tour is like stepping into a time machine, as you dig into a past that still lingers along the cobbled streets of Ohio’s oldest town.

Departing from the corner of Greene and Front Street, at the fountain in front of the Lafayette Hotel at 2pm on May 11th. Tickets are available at

Adults – $15. Kids 12 and under – $10.

Tour duration is approximately 90 minutes and subject matter is child-friendly. The total distance covered is a little over one mile. Although the entire course of Fires & Floods is over paved or brick streets, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Cameras welcome on tour!
