On display in Gallery 310 through September 22 is Velvet Forms: Figure Drawings by Laida Carro”.  Cuban American artist Laida Carro’s skilled, sensitive hand gently models across the human form in a delicate but communicative way.

Also on view in the Atrium Gallery through November 1, 2018 is “Natural Images/ Unnatural Methods: Paintings by Noah Baumgartel.” Baumgartel’s work is monochromatic enamel paintings on wood panels as well as ink drawings of natural imagery and spaces.

An Artist Reception for both exhibitions with live music will be held on Friday, September 14th from 5-7pm. The Art Department is pleased to include music by Back Porch Alibi, which is described as an acoustic-americana-folk band.

Gallery 310 and Atrium Gallery are located on the third floor of Hermann Fine Art Center on the campus of Marietta College.  Gallery 310 is open Monday through Thursday and Saturday noon to 4pm. Atrium Gallery is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and both are open by appointment at gallery310@marietta.edu.  Both galleries observe all Marietta College holidays and breaks.
