Henderson Hall will be hosting a Civil War Living History Day, on June 20. The event includes a cannon firing demonstration, blacksmithing, glass blowers and a variety of other artisans demonstrating displaying their crafts. The hall will be open for tours from 10:00am – 5:00 PM. In addition, local Civil War historian and author, Bryon Kesterson, will host a presentation that will involve the Henderson family’s involvement in the Civil War and the movement and encampments of Union troops through the area. Board the Valley Gem for a breakfast and lunch cruise. You will ride the sternwheeler to Harbor Point below Henderson hall and ride the Henderson trolley to and from the event. The event is open to the public and there is ample parking at the hall for those not wanting to take the boat cruise. .
