It’s time to celebrate, Marietta! Last year was difficult – we had to cancel a variety of events, including our beloved traditional Merry-etta Christmas Parade typically hosted on Small Business Saturday in November. This summer, it’s time to come together and have some fun!
Marietta Main Street is hosting a Christmas in July Parade on Saturday, July 17th at 5 p.m. in downtown Marietta and we invite friends and family across our community to join us as floats pass by. Santa Claus will indeed be joining us in his summer shades and Hawaiian shirt to wave to kiddos as he travels through the parade route.
The parade will start at Third & Ohio Street > Greene Street > Front Street > East Muskingum Park. At the end of the parade, we will host a Kid Zone with summer fun – bubbles to play in thanks to The Foam Garage, games and more.
Plus, we are partnering with the Greater Marietta Community Food Pantry for this event. A portion of all float fees will be donated to the Greater Marietta Community Food Pantry and they’ll be set up at the Armory during the parade to collect donations of food from floats and the community. Make sure to drop off your food donations during the parade!
Grab your sunscreen and your shades and join us downtown on Saturday, July 17th at 5 p.m. for a Christmas in July Parade followed by great family fun in East Muskingum Park!
The Christmas in July Parade is sponsored by Marietta College. Marietta College is a strong partner of Marietta Main Street and a leading institution of higher education located in the heart of our city.
