Topic: The Civil War Herb Lady of Ohio

Valerie Hamill portrays Civil War Herb Lady of Ohio and audience members can also make fresh herbal tussie mussie. Enjoy the opportunity to learn of the uses of many herbs that will have been harvested for your sensory pleasure. Smelling and touching the herbs will take you back to a simpler time when horse-drawn carriages were the main method of transportation, and when herb gardens were a critical part of survival for our ancestors.

Bio: Valerie Hamill is a member of the Big Walnut Area Historical Society and has served as chair of the Rosecrans Ladies Aid Society as well as a volunteer to the fundraising efforts for the Rosecrans statue.
