Wonder if grandma left you with something of value or is it a dust collector? Don’t know exactly what the object is or what its use was? Bring your heirlooms, garage sale purchases, or sentimental objects and find out if they should be insured or just enjoyed for the memories. Through years of experience, supported by a reputable education background, Andrew Richmond will help you identify your prized objects.
You’ll encounter few folks with as much passion for old stuff as Andrew Richmond. After receiving degrees from Kenyon College, one of the oldest colleges west of the Appalachian Mountains, and the prestigious Winterthur Program in American Material Culture, Andrew spent more than a decade in the world of antiques and fine art auctions. During that time, he handled hundreds of thousands of objects, and helped sell everything from million-dollar paintings to a mummified bird to Benjamin Franklin’s pocket watch. In his work as a consultant, advisor, and certified personal property appraiser, he draws upon his years of actual market experience.
Andrew has conducted numerous appraisal events around Ohio and beyond. Andrew understands the subtle nuances that can greatly impact value, and how factors such as timing and marketing, are key to achieving the very best results when selling valuable items.
In support of Campus Martius Museum, Andrew will be conducting our very own antique’s road show. For a $5.00 donation per item, you may have your questions answered by a professional in the field of antiques and appraisals. All funds collected will be donated to the Campus Martius Museum.
