2008 Hometown Holiday Weekends
For those looking for unique holiday gifts and hometown shopping experiences, look no farther than historic downtown Marietta this holiday season! Marietta is offering several Hometown Holiday Weekend events and the annual Merry-Etta Moonlight Savings, a one-night-only savings event.
Avoid the traffic and enjoy a slower pace on the charming city streets during the Hometown Holiday Weekends November 28 to December 14 in downtown Marietta that offer special activities, a gingerbread exhibit, Christmas tree lighting, free carriage rides and tours of lofts, homes and churches, and much more.
Revel in the holiday spirit during the Merry-Etta Moonlight Savings on December 5 from 5:00 p.m. to Midnight. Shop til’ you drop at participating area merchants for a chance to receive up to 50% off your entire purchase that evening! When you reach the register with your purchases, draw a “Snowball” from the bucket of savings for a chance to receive a discount of 10-50% off.
“The CVB has worked with area merchants for a couple of years now to create this special shopping event for downtown Marietta,” Marietta/Washington County CVB Executive Director Kelly Blazosky said. “The idea is to have a special night of activities and shopping that the entire community may enjoy in a festive holiday atmosphere.”
