The Marietta/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau offers free itinerary building services.
The first day of a popular sample group itinerary includes shopping at unique shops in downtown Marietta, a relaxing trip upon on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler and a dinner of international cuisine. Your day will end in your choice of seven modern motels or the historic Hotel Lafayette, located in close proximity to downtown attractions and river activities.
Your second day could include guided tours of the city, absorbing the local history at various historical attractions, and self-guided walking tours.
If you choose to plan your own group tour, please remember any group that registers with the Marietta Convention and Visitors Bureau will receive a free gift from Putnam Chocolates.
The CVB offers familiarization (FAM) tours to group operators. If a FAM tour is not a convenient option, a DVD of the hour-long special on Marietta by Fox 8's travel show New Day Cleveland is available.
