Join Friends of Lower Muskingum River and Jeff Calhoun from ODNR Division of Mineral Resource Management to learn about the diversity and variety of fish present in the Ohio River and what that indicates about the water quality.  Jeff and his team will demonstrate electrofishing, a technique that uses electricity to catch fish, without harming them.  As part of the demonstration, Jeff will identify the different species of fish and tell us what its presence indicates about the Ohio River, as well as give a little natural history of each species.  See live fish up close and personal before we release them back into the river.
