The Executive Director is the administrative officer of the Marietta, Washington County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), hired by the CVB Board of Directors to administer and manage the CVB’s activities. He or She is responsible for managing and supervising all CVB operations in cooperation with the Board or through subordinate staff, both paid and volunteer.
Qualified persons should possess good interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, management of personnel and general office operation skills, as well as knowledge of sales and marketing. A four-year degree in marketing or business management or an associate’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in the tourism industry is preferred. Qualified persons must have a valid driver’s license and meet state minimum insurance requirements. Must be able to be insured and bonded.
Terms of Employment:
The Executive Director is a full-time, salaried position. Benefits include short-term disability, vacation, sick leave and paid holidays.
The Executive Director is responsible to the CVB Board of Directors, reporting directly to the President of the Board.
